Robert Rickhoff
What critics say. 'At first glace, these scenes might not seem out of the ordinary. In fact, they come across as quite roof landscapes. It takes a moment to identify exactly what is out of place, but, once you do, these hilarious photo , by photographer Robert Rickhoff, will certainly make you laugh. Based in Germany, the artist has transformed otherwise boring photos into a completely nonsense and outrageous series entitled out of place.'
Rickhoff has positioned parking meters along a row of tombstones in a graveyard he has photoshopped a volleyball court into the middle of a highway; and he has placed a children’s playground slide at the edge of a road, from which children would have to descend directly into a street of oncoming cars.

I like this picture is because its a fun idea and people like daft stuff. I think the meaning of this piece is that people would get annoyed because they are playing badminton on a motorway whereas if you do play badminton on the motorway people would run you over. The photographer pattern well with where he is positioning the colours. he must have used editing software to create this. The lines are on a diagonal which is interestting.

I like this picture because the eagle has the anchor to the sea. The meaning behind this piece is that the eagle is flying back strong and behave. This is an effective image because they have created an interesting composition by using the rule of thirds with the bird and anchor. The photographer has used a white and black background, however on this photo they have with the contrast and the lighting. This is great because its both dark and bright. I think it shows sometimes as people we want to fly away and be free, but our emotions or negative thoughts hold us down and keep us back like the anchor.

I like this image because there is loads of water in the bedroom and she is in the room swimming to get into her bed, the meaning behind this photo is that she is trying to get back to herself. The mood of this piece is that she had no rest because she is tried and restless. That her unconscious mind is dealing with emotions that make her feel like that she is dealing with difficult stuff in her life.
